Through its Community Care Foundation, ASPCL joins over 300 Ajman residents in pledging support for environment protection during this year’s celebrations.
Ajman, UAE, 5th June, 2016: In an effort to show solidarity in caring and protecting the environment, Ajman Sewerage Private Company Limited (ASPCL), under its Community Care Foundation today led hundreds of Ajman residents in marking this year’s World Environment Day at an event held at the Corniche Marina Walk.
Reiterating its commitment in advocating for a greener and cleaner city, ASPCL sensitized Ajman residents about the importance of safeguarding the environment.
ASPCL (Free-Pr-Online.com) outlined some of the measures that the residents can take towards contributing in this noble cause. Some of the tips shared by the Community Care Foundation included use of recycled water for irrigation purposes, fixing of leakages in the house as well as using clean water sparingly.
“As we mark this year’s World Environment Day, let us all re-dedicate our commitment towards protecting the environment we live in and especially our natural water resource. Let us learn to use our clean water sparingly and responsibly. This is not only to our benefit, but also to the benefit of our children in the future”, said Mr. Christophe Ledur, ASPCL General Manager.
This year’s event was marked with pomp and color featuring exciting activities for children such as balloon bending, face painting as well as entertainers disguised as a water drop and a palm tree to animate the event.
Over 300 people took part in the celebrations, which started at 7pm and ended at 9pm.
